Bringing back the blog

Ever since the music died on Twitter I decided I needed a place to write. Well the truth is my mom has been nagging me for a while to finish this. How long is a while? hmmm circa 4 years at least.

She argued that my twitter threads will disappear into the twitter ether and that Medium isn’t the right place. She’s, of course, correct.

But this blog reboot will be more nerdy and less about the meaning of life.

Maybe.

(I’ll prob crosspost tho, sorry mom)

Now is the time for reasoned debate on the future of technology.

As big tech re-orders & governments finally demonstrate a realisation that semiconductors matter, I hope that you address the real issues and barriers.
Jobs in Engineering & computer led fields and investment funds are shifting but an honest view of the impact on people like you of the past decade and how you view the future would be fascinating.
I became a grandmother 5 days ago and its taken 40 years to become optimistic about the opportunities in industry for an electronic engineer to build a better world for her. The risks are there but at least they can be voiced by some.
Btw I’m sticking with Twitter as my feed is unchanged. I’ve had lots of ‘free sw’ dispose of my archives before – simple unsolved problems of the Internet ☹️
I’m looking forward to the nerdy discussion as that’s how we move tech forward.
